"I love
the book from a teachers stand point
and from a mom's view. I have two
young children. I have already made
some changes to my children's diet
and I would like our staff to read
it. It has great recipes and
information for our snack program.
I would like to order 26 copies of
your book for staff members to read.
They are all very eager to read it.
Thanks for writing such a great
book. It has wonderful information
that all teachers and parents should
know."

"I
devoured your Nutrition for Learning
(pun intended, I suppose)!
After I read the excerpt in the
recent Tomorrow’s Child, my husband
bought me a copy of the book for
Christmas.
A few days and one yellow
highlighter later, I’d finished the
book (friends saw me groggy-eyed at
work one day and reminded me that
sleep, like nutrition, is pretty
important, too!).
But I couldn’t put your book down.
And, although my husband and two
young sons and I eat fairly well
already (my husband’s first degree
is in Food Science), reading your
book catalyzed us to revolutionize
our diets.
Thank you for your dedication to
such an important topic and for your
time and energy spent evaluating the
voluminous research and nutritional
studies as well as documenting your
own careful observations.
Do you ever travel to give
lectures/presentations? Though
probably wishful thinking because we
are a long way from Phoenix, here in
Toledo, OH, I’m wondering if our
sons’ school could be fortunate
enough to have you present your
information in an evening program
for parents, teachers, and other
care-givers."

"Thank you! I have just started
reading it, but so far it is exactly
the book that I've been searching
for.
Your "Nutrition Basics" chapter is
so easy to read and understand. And
I love that you recommend real whole
foods.
I've read some other books and
articles for ideas on how to feed my
own 23 month old toddler, yet they
all still include packaged food
suggestions (like store bought
granola bars and instant oatmeal) or
low fat milk for young children
(children need whole milk). I'm a
big believer in eating as
much organic and whole foods as
possible.
I've been looking for a book that
would give me all the information on
nutrition for children plus lots of
suggestions for menu planning.
I found it! Thanks so much!"
